OBKA Winter Talk – Food Safety Legislation and the Beekeeper
February 7 @ 19:30 - 21:00
A talk by OBKA member Andy Pedley
Andy is a retired Environmental Health Officer (EHO) and beekeeper of 29 years experience, who’s just moved to Oxfordshire.
He authored a series of articles in Beecraft in 2009 on the food safety legislation and how it applies to BeeKeepers, and has since presented at the National Honey Show, and to several bee keeping associations.
He’ll cover a variety of topics such as registration, training, allergens, food premises, records, and the general responsibilities of anyone who sells food.
If you sell honey, or intend to, then this talk is strongly recommended, and if there are any topics that you’d like to be included then please ask Andy on firstname.lastname@example.org.
The event is of course free for OBKA Members,, non-members are welcome and if you wish to make a donation to OBKA we suggest £2.00
