A day at the Races – National Honey Show 2022

On Friday 29th October I went to the Honey Show at Sandown Park. Having previously only been to the OBKA honey show I vaguely knew what to expect but had a really enjoyable experience attending lectures, checking out other people’s amazing honey and produce and visiting the trade stands. Such a great opportunity to see equipment spread out in enticing piles, rather than on line, and at sale prices too. It was all too easy to march around comparing prices and picking up bargains for next year. The atmosphere at the show was very pleasant, everyone happy to talk and share their experiences, and of course lots of information and leaflets. If you haven’t been to one before I thoroughly recommend it as a good day out, but make sure you arrive with an empty boot.
